Project 365 - Week 35

Here we are at week 35. It was a crazy week for me. I had soooo many great photo opportunities and many times forgot to get my camera out. After 35 weeks, you'd think that would not happen.....it was so frustrating!!! On Tuesday, we fed the homeless under the downtown bridge. The teens decided to serve nachos and I got the cheese dip. I had an electric roaster FULL of cheese dip....what an awesome picture....nope, didn't get it. That's how it rolled this week.

How about you. Is it becoming second nature or are you still having trouble remembering your camera?

Here's my week:

Sunday

We had the privilege and honor to pray over a family in our congregation that is heading into the mission field in Niger. They leave tomorrow and this was bittersweet. So hard to say goodbye, but so exciting to see God work in their lives!

We also had the privilege to celebrate with the Korean Grace Church on their first official Sunday worshiping at our church (Grace Church)
How incredible to worship with them, sing with them (2 languages singing one song), and fellowshiping with them over a traditional Korean meal.

God is good....all the time!

Monday
Today was my first day back at work...I took the summer off.
I knew I would be tired so I put dinner in the crockpots!!
Roast in one, baked potatoes in the other!

Tuesday

Jared has been craving cornbread.
There is nothing better than homemade cornbread in a cast iron skillet!!
that crispy outside crust......oh my heavens!!!

Wednesday

My new blog design was installed today!
I love it!!
It was designed by Jackie at Memories by Design

Thursday

What a day.......
....this is an example of how it went.
I needed to send jelly to Mama Belle (she won my giveaway)
the only box I could find is one that already looks like it has been to Kosovo and back.......
....so I take time to tape it ALL over so it will not fall apart and when done, see the cute little card I made for her on the counter.......

Friday

Went out on my front porch and this little guy was visiting....
....yikes!

Saturday

Painting my bedroom today....
old color on the right, new color on the left.

I am sooooo tired!
but not done yet...

So how was your week? Link up and let us see!!

I was always forgetting my camera, since it's not a pocket sized one that I could just keep in my purse, so now I mostly use the camera on my phone, since that's always with me.

LOVE the new blog design and oh my, the yellow in your room is so pretty and cheery!

Your week makes me tired!

Love the yellow!

You are a woman after my own heart! I love yellow -- at the parsonage every room except one was painted some shade of yellow :-)

What would we do without our crockpots?! I love mine. Had two before and used them both all the time. Have just one now and it gets a good workout!

I have my daddy's old cast iron skillet and I agree, there's nothing like a good pone of cornbread made in one. In fact, planning on making some tomorrow.

Have a great week!

Thanks for the help on my number os days. I knew I got goofed up somewhere.
The snake creeps me. Can't even look at them in a book or the zoo.
Your bedroom is the same color as my living room. Did you get to get new bedding too???? I want to see it when it is finished.

I carry a camera with me EvERyWHerE I GO!!!
Project 365 is GREAT! Thank you.

Prayer services like yours for Niger Trip always touch me deeply. What a privilege, honor, burden, adventure all rolled up together – not just those leaving, but those who provide the prayer support and cover all along the way. Great captured moment!

It is most surely a crock-pot-Queen who uses two or more crock pots. Way to Go!

YELLOW – oh my! That would take some getting used to for me. Love the deep red bedspread :)

...and still... get an ax for that snake. But you did capture a very cute face on the little critter.

i still forget my camera at times, and others i'm pretty good at it. i have the hardest time deciding which photo to use. i always want to pick one that will mean something to me later, and it doesnt always happen that way. i am learning what is important to me through this tho. what a beautiful bedroom color you are painting! i love it. we have been painting for the last 2 days as well...one reason i haven't posted to my blog. :D

I've been wanting to do some painting at my house too but I just can't seem to find the energy. Love your new color!

And, I love the new blog look too!

I bet the service with the Korean church must have given you goosebumps...a tiny peek into heaven...we are ALL his children!

That is a beautiful window in your bedroon and the yellow goes perfectly with it...very cheery!

I almost always remember to take pictures but then its deciding what to highlight. Nearly all my family reads my blog so I try to be just a little mindful to keep the pictures "fair".

LOVE the buttery walls! Makes me think how nice that Corn bread would taste!
And seriuously, I' have seen enough of the snake...*cringe*

Sometimes I forget and other times I just don't feel like being "that girl with the camera" again. I hate it when my shy nature takes over!
Anyway, I think you still got some nice pictures this week!

Sara, I LOVE your new blog design and the yellow paint color in your bedroom, looks awesome with the red accents in the room! Great choice! I see you captured a shot of a snake also and I have to say, yours is better than mine. I don't know what kind of snake that is, but it looks evil and scary! EW!

Great photo review for the week. What did we miss 'cause you forgot? It appears we ALL forget, but thanks to Project 365, we are remembering more often than not. I love the result--beautifully recorded life history!
And, oft times, great photography! I liked the snake photo.
Have fun at work!
