Can I just get a little sympathy?!!

I hurt.

Every muscle that is in my body is screaming at me today.

I could barely get out of bed.....it hurt to roll over and turn off the alarm.

I painted my bedroom on Saturday.

Really, I thought it would be no big deal. Steve is out of town, perfect time to get it done! Move a little furniture.....I purchased good paint, the wall color is a very neutral color, should only need 1-2 coats....no primer, it's neu.tral.

hmmmm........that neutral color was the color from ____! It took THREE, yes three coats to cover it and I can still sort of see it through the yellow. I got wise after the first wall and primed the others.......still needed two coats and if I wasn't so tired, it could have used a 3rd too!!

Then Sunday, after church, we built and "painted" all our sets for Jonah. After that, I came home and put the last coat on the last wall............

ya'll, I have muscles screaming at me that I didn't know I had. I literally can barely make it down to sit on the toilet (I know tmi, but it's true).....getting up is a whole other problem.

I hurt!!!

And I am not getting any sympathy from the teenagers in my house......they are too busy flitting (yes, boys can flit) around and wondering what's for dinner..........whatever I can make from this sitting position on the sofa. I'm thinking that would be pizza!

However, the pain is balance by the fact that the room looks GREAT!! I will be posting pictures on sept. 7th when I join Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick for her Before and After blogging party.

Until then.........can I get some blogging love........and maybe 5 advil?

Oh you are funny. Tell me was it that new Behr paint that is SUPPOSE to go on in one coat? I reallt want to try it, but I'm not going to waste the money if I still need three coats. AKA One coat primer two coats color. MAN, painting is a CHORE. Sure it SOUNDS easy enough...Sorry you hurt! Yeah, sure get the pizza make the boys "flit" to the door to get it! :)

Yikes. Sympathy... Check! Painting is a chore. That was my plan with weekend too, but I got sick. Boo. Oh, and I know about the aching muscles that scream when going to the (cough)potty(cough). :)

I'll send you some love and sympathy, Sara!

Poor thing! And why weren't those flitty teenagers helping you paint your walls????? Or maybe you didn't want them to.

I hope you can move better tomorrow. Take a soak in a hot tub of water and DRINK lots of water. And make the kids wait on you!

You've got my love, sympathy and I would like to send you some Bengay.
I know what it is like to be on a mission and then it turns out to be a way bigger project. You deserve to take it easy, sit on the couch and have someone make you some coffee.
Hope you feel better soon !!!

Oh....poor, poor, poor Sara!! I hope by the time you read this that your MEGA dose of Advil has kicked in and you are feeling MUCH better!!!

I will look forward to seeing your "new" bedroom. HEY...guess what? I have the same bedspread/comforter as you!!! I LOVE it!

So sorry for you! If I lived close I would bring you dinner! Maybe someday...

Don't take 5 Advil! Chad once took 6 for severe back pain. His doctor was NOT amused. I think his exact quote was "Let's not do that again!" :)

I hope you feel better tomorrow!

Pobrecita!

I can feel your pain! I think it's time the teens took a turn at cooking :-) Which is worse -- the pain or eating their cooking? LOL

The last spec house we built we sold before we finished building it and the buyers chose burgandy for the master bath. I thought I'd whip that baby out in a day. Primed the drywall with a dark primer, got busy and USED THREE GALLONS OF PAINT over two days. It wasn't even a big master bath; just normal size. My whole body hurt for a few days and my neck for two weeks. So yeah, I can feel your pain!

Looking forward to seeing your finished room :-)

I admire you!
I am envious that you can do that yourself.
Know about the muscles though.
Drink lots of water and move. Don't sit or stop even though it feels like you are in torture move them soar muscles.
Prayers and admiration are being sent to and for you right now!

Very ambitious to start that project on your own...I would have thought the exact opposite...husband out of town=BAD time to start project.

I feel bad you are so sore! Just think of all the calories your body is burning while repairing all those muscles!

Sending cyber sympathy. It should almost be there. Do you know what's hardest on me regarding painting now? Keeping my balance on a ladder. Yes, that is OLDNESS.

Try excedrin back and body. It's Ah-maz-ing!

I'm sending you lots of love and sympathy, Sara!!! I know exactly what you're talking about. After painting the whole inside of our house, I decided to change the color of the entryway, hall and one wall in the living room, so this time I bought Behr paint and it covered so much better. The wall in the living room only took one coat and I was painting over dark brown. Behr paint is more expensive, but it's worth it! Hope the soreness goes away soon. :)
