WYAW

I have had a very busy two days, crazy busy. So, I have not been posting or even reading my favorite blogs much.......I hate it when that happens because I feel like I am missing out on so much!!! Hopefully, things will slow down later today.....

Linda hosts my favorite carnival and I love doing this, so here goes.....

1. If you have ever had/have someone clean your house....do you clean before they come?

2. What is your favorite color?

3. What is your favorite scripture verse?

My Answers:

1. I have never had someone regularly clean my house, however we have a wonderful friend that owns a maid service and occasionally she sends her girls over to clean my house.....what a blessing!!! Anyway, my kids tease me because I make everyone clean before they come!!!

2. My favorite color is red.

3. My favorite and life verse is Micah 6:8 ...and what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

1. Never really had anyone clean for me unless you count my mom. And if she is cleaning for me I probably did not have the time to do it myself. :)

2. You would think that this would be a simple answer but I don't think I have a favorite. I like them all!

3. Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

Isaiah 40:31

1. I've done this a grand total of 2 times. I like the idea of it, but what's the point when I clean before they come, right? Then, they miss things and that bothers me... so then I clean after too. :)

2. I can't pick. I love shades of all colors. Reds, pinks, browns....

3. Hmmm... This is worse than #2! Too many to choose from.

1. Yes, I had a girl from campus who was raising money for a mission trip come. I picked up before she came and she did the deep cleaning, bless her. A missionary and a maid! I love her tons, needless to say. :)

2. Ooh, depends on what it is for. Clothes, black. Wall colors, red, yellow & sage green. Small things (wallet, phone, etc.), pink. Pick-me-up mood color, blue. :)

3. Heb 11:6 and Rom 10:9.

1. The only time this happened was after my hysterectomy. So obviously I couldn't clean before they came!

2. Depends on the context. Love lots of colors. Except green and brown. Oh, and gold (except for jewelry!)

3. Can never pick a favorite. So so many beautiful ones.

1. I've am fortunate enough to be able to afford to have my house cleaned every 2 weeks. (My husband and I also work very hard to afford this luxury.) We do NOT CLEAN before they come, but we do pick up. My 10 year old is a bit of a packrat and leaves stuff EVERYWHERE. I also have very bad allergies and cannot deal with chemical smells (from cleaners) or dust. I like to tell people I haven't vacuumed or dusted in 17 years. I get some interesting looks.
2. I also like lots of colors, but tend to gravitate towards blues, greens and purples.
3. No favorite

Tough questions, I need to marrow things down!
1) never had someone clean, I would probably clean, just so I wouldn't feel embarressed when they did come.
2)Now this is ALL time look at color, over ALL color. Purple. Think of the sky, or a blouse or a flower...oooh, that' so pretty.
3)Again I'm going with one that speaks on mroe levels:
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. So that the (man) of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2Timothy3:16-17
It describes WHAT the bible is meant to DO for us. Use is as a guide EVERYday for EVERY thing. I like that it's comforting.

3) A passage I must say several times a day is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord."

1. We went through a stage when we were making more money and we did that.....and yep, definitely cleaned up (I felt like I kind of had to - they can't really vacuum if stuff is all over the floor!)

2. My favorite color is a brick red.....

3. Zephaniah 3:17 (worth looking up!)

1. I do not clean before the cleaning ladies come, but I do straighten. Why pay to have a stranger put things where you can't find them?

2. blue

3. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. I John 5:13 NIV

1. When we lived in Uganda I had "house help" because it was a cultural thing. Plus, I needed help since it was more primitive living conditions. Mama Daisy helped me clean, did some cooking and taught me everything I needed to know about living in Uganda :-) And no, I didn't clean before she came!

2. Tough question. Can I choose blue and yellow? They go together in my mind :-) You can't have one without the other.

3. Phil 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ." Thank goodness it's HIM doing the work and it's not dependent on me!
