Blurb..........excuse me!

No not burp!

Blurb.

It's my new favorite website/software. I first learned about this site on Cozy Corner. I am a huge fan of digital scrap booking! I usually make a book for special occasions/vacations. But my "life" is on this blog!! And when I saw StephieAnne's picture of her books, I had to investigate!

And boy, am I glad I did!!

When you visit Blurb, you will download their FREE software to your computer. There is a video tutorial to step you through downloading your blog to the software, but it is really very easy. It places each of your posts on a different page, includes pictures and puts any links you have as footnotes. You can then manipulate each page......make pictures larger, delete unwanted pages, change style or layout..........it is awesome!!!

I feel like this is an amazing gift to my family......to have a book chronicling our family's everyday life. Having just lost my Aunt, I also think it will be a perfect way to leave a "piece of me" to my kids and family!

But here is a tip: unfortunately, I am a person who dives right into things.....aka.. doesn't read instructions! After ordering my first book, I found new features while working on the second book. So, take your time to "learn the software"........novel, I know. You will be glad you did.

Here are some pictures of my books. They look so professional!! I wasn't sure if I would like the softcover, but it was cheaper, and it is perfect!!!

I had several people over for dinner on Sunday and they just ooo'd and ahhh'd over them! But they did make one interesting statement.........

.....which one of your kids gets the books?

Guess I may need to order more!

Very neat books. I will have to check out that site. I've been making photo books on Kodak just because that's where my pics were...perhaps it's time to branch out a bit!

Your books look amazing! I saw a friend's books the other day and they were so professional looking. I need to do this since I've never scrapbooked in my life. I'll be sure to read the directions!

I think you'll have to make a few more so the kids can each have their own. You don't want them fighting over them!

I am so behind in my blog commenting... I can't wait to check this out. And of course I want to know "how much do they cost?"
