I wasn't sure I was going to blog today.
I have been keeping my posts light because my mind has been in a fog....I even missed 2 appointments on Tuesday....not like me, especially since one was for my hair!
But today, as we approach this weekend, I realize that I have a new perspective and thankfulness for the cross and the work Christ did there.
It is because of Christ's work on the cross that I faced my Aunt's death with HOPE.
It is because of His death and resurrection that I did not have to say goodbye to her, but see you SOON!!
It is because of Christ that I can slowly emerge from my grief with peace and JOY.
And because Christ lives in me, I can be His witness to this world that it is all TRUE.
Today, I am THANKFUL that Christ chose obedience to His Father and chose this very difficult road for ME. How THANKFUL I am that there is no situation in my life that is bigger than God raising Christ from the dead!
Today, and every day, I am so very thankful for Christ's redeeming work on the cross!!!!

I am thankful for all that too Sara. What a wonderful prospective you have....I do pray for you in your mourning her temporal loss.
I'm thankful with you.
And so glad that you're feeling that peace and hope. So glad.
I couldn't have said it better!
Thankful here too!
This is my FAVORITE week of the year, I am always filled with reflection and hope and praise.
Maundy Thursday, being my favorite favorite. Thinking of Sharing the meal with Christ and him washing our feet, telling us of our FUTURE with him.
Yes, I'm very thankful.
It's all about the Cross, isn't it? Nothing else is as important.
I am thankful for all the same things. God Bless!
Well said, Sara!
I am also very thankful. And thankful for you too Sara!!!!

Very well said Sara! I'm so happy that you are experiencing God's peace and hope during your time of grief. What a glorious day it will be when you get to Heaven and see your Aunt again. Can you imagine the both of you being face to face with Jesus? Wow!
