Project 365 Week 8

Week 8.

Can you believe we have been taking pictures for 2 months now? As I look at them all together in a file, I realize how glad I am that I have committed to this!! Already, I see things I would have forgotten!

I just want to say thank you to those of you who have prayed for my Aunt. We had a very sweet visit with her yesterday and today...you'll see in the pictures!!! I would ask that, if God brings it to mind, you would pray for her healing, but most importantly that God would give her the strength and endurance to walk this path He has placed her on. Thank you so much!

Here is my week:

Sunday

Jason typing a paper that is due....tomorrow!

notice he is using the drawer as a table...niiiice....

Monday

When I starting cleaning today, I found that Jason had totally cleaned and organized my utility closet and cabinet while I was gone.

You have no idea what a BIG DEAL this is because I don't have a before picture!
It was so bad, I wouldn't have shown you the before picture!

I love that boy!

Tuesday

Lily was very playful tonight!
She jumped up into Steve's chair and smothered him with kisses!

Wednesday

SPRING is here!!!
My tulip tree is budding.....yea!!!

Thursday

Spending a lot of time here lately
I am so thankful for God's word!

Friday

We drove to Dallas today to see my Aunt. Alyssa came from Abilene to meet us there.
What a blessing to see her but heart breaking as she cried when we walked in and cried when we left.....that was hard. She looks great, but is very frustrated by not being able to communicate. I can only imagine how it must feel to know what you want to say, but not be able to get it out. Even with that, we had such a sweet time with her!

Saturday

Today we spent time filling my Aunt in on our lives. I snuggled in with her in bed and showed her my pictures from my vacation. She may not be able to talk, but she can definitely get her point across.....like when she scolded me for showing too much cleavage in a picture! :)

I loved that my children jumped right onto her bed to share the things they brought with her!! We had such a wonderful time with her and were able to gather around her and have a family prayer time! But it broke my heart to leave......I love her so much and seeing her cry as we left was nearly too much for me!

I am so thankful that I know my Lord holds her in the palm of His wonderful hands!!!

Now it's your turn!! Link up below and allow us to enjoy your week!!!

Gotta’ love a dog that loves ya' like that!!!

I would PAY Jason to come clean and organize some stuff here!
$15/hr? What a guy!
(…and I love that foaming dish soap! Isn't that stuff the greatest?)

Family pics with aunt: Priceless & Precious!
Cleavage: Shame on you!

I realize that it's a cliche, but your aunt is gorgeous. That oval face! Pretty lady. If she's as sweet as she is good looking, I can see why you love her so.

Doggie kisses are so fun!!

What beautiful pictures of your beautiful Aunt. Our prayers continue for her.

The showing cleavage comment made me giggle. Sounds like something my grandmother would have said. :)

A son doing his paper AND a clean closet? I would say that equals a pretty good week! Now, if my son could get his papers in before their due date I'd be a happier mom. Even if he did use the drawer to rest his text.

I can see we have a lot in common: same age, similarly aged sons, sweet husbands, and best of all, faith. Except, you have cleaner closets. ;)

What sweet pictures. Your boy cleaned your closet? Man! How do you do that??!!!! I need Mama lessons from you.

I will continue to pray for your Aunt. God is so good in giving you peace knowing that He is holding her.

Love,

Ohilda

What a wonderful family you have! So glad you were able to spend time with your aunt. My only surviving aunt is 90 and in failing health. My sister and I went to see her 2 years ago and had such a sweet time, and we're just so thankful for that opportunity.

I need to hire your teenager to come organize my chaos. He did a great job!

I'm so glad you got to see your daughter. I remember you saying it wouldn't be until summer. And it's even more wonderful that you had the special time with your aunt. I know you love her dearly and it was hard to leave. When will you see her again?

You showed too much cleavage!?!?

Thanks again, Sara, for inviting me to join this 365 journey. I'm so grateful for the challenge and all the great pictures as a result.
Have a great week!

Lily is so cute! My Tobi is such a snob, she only give *kisses* for a treat. Let me add that I finally had to tell the girls that touching her nose to their cheek was Tobi's idea of a kiss.

That Jason's a great kid!

How sweet the pictures of all of you with your aunt. I love that she was able to scold you for too much cleavage. LOL! Is she in rehab to learn to talk again?

Oh, your aunt looks so sweet! It made me giggle that she pointed out too much cleavage to you. :)

God's Word - that picture is a reminder to me that I need to get into more myself. It always makes the day go so much better, so I don't know why I am not more consistent in it...

I am a little jealous of your organized cabinet. Every single one of my cabinets nees a serious cleaning right now...

How sweet. That aunt sounds like quite a character. Such treasured memories.

And, about the eyebrow challenge. Beau is in.

Such precious pictures with your aunt!

Please tell me what a tulip tree is. I've never heard of it...but I do love tulips. No signs of spring for me yet...I'm so ready though.

What great picture reminders of what appears to be a great week. Gotta love a son who organizes a closet for you! Think I can hire him? lol

Your Lily is soo cute!

Your aunt sure looked like she was having a good time with you guys! I know you must be so glad that you all got to spend that time with her!

I love the tulip tree. The question about the baby chestnut that you asked on my blog - we harvest our chestnuts in winter. With all these horrendous bushfires and the searing heat - I am very ready for winter. Thank you for your kind words when you visit - they don't go unnoticed and I am just now managing to get back to people and respond to their comments. Your Aunt is precious - I'm sure you know that!

I'm horribly behind on my blog reading (and posting, for that matter), but I'm here now. :) It was cool to meet you in person today...

Oh, and you have a tulip TREE?! Never heard of such a thing!!
