New Years Day and 1st Project 365 Picture

I will be hosting Project 365 on Sundays, but I decided to post my very first picture of the year today to get started.  Steve and I host a New Years Day open house every year.  We have been doing this for almost 15 years.  I put my camera in my pocket so I would remember to take photos.....I almost forgot........being the hostess and all!

Anyway, here is my first picture of the year!!

I also wanted to share with you what my boys did today.  They got up early this morning (on their own! ...together) and hiked Pinnacle Mountain.  They took their bibles and had their quiet times up there.  I wanted to share this with you because it is moments like this that you realize they are going to make it and you might actually be doing something right!!!  Moms have to celebrate these times!!!  because many times they are few and far between!!

Your 1st 365 pic is great! I love ones that show lots of people, lots of love, lots of chaos. Perfect.

Your boys seem awesome! What a way to start out the new year...enjoying HIS gorgeous creation.

When does THAT handbook get published! You know the one about how to be a good role model and your kids grow up reading their bibles and spending time in the Lord :)
Hey Sara, I don't have your email & I changed my settings that you must be invited to read butterville now. Try and get to it...let me know if you still can...I want to see if the settings work...then just email me and I'll get you "on the list"
I wish we lived close...I would have brought toffee over! :)

The pictures of your boys made me all weepy. I don't know how to explain. It's just a beautiful thing, kids growing up to have days like this. YES, you should celebrate!

Happy New Year!

I love it. How exciting to see them take ownership of their relationship with Jesus!
I also think it's cool that they took a camera up there and not only took pictures of scenery but also each other! Yea!

Yep, it sounds like you followed the verse "train up a child in the way he should grow..."

This is an awesome idea. I hope I can remember to do it every day. I think it might just allow us to live more in the moment. mmmm, I feel a blog post coming to me about that....

I loved seeing your pictures. The view is astounding...Made me think of my hometown, Chattanooga, and the view off of Lookout Mountain onto the Tennessee River...

I too have teenagers boys and it truly is a blessing to see them choose to spend their time honoring God with their lives, isn't it?

I found you from Linda's blog.

It's nice to meet you!

I will love following your 365 pictures. The camera and I are not best friends (to put it nicely) so it would not be wise for me to attempt this project. You can take photos for the both of us. ; )
