911 not needed.....AMAZING turkey!

We (our yard, house, husband, boys) survived frying the turkey!! And I must admit that it was amazing!  That was the most tender and most turkey I have ever eaten.  Someone asked me which one got eaten more.....the fried!!  It was GONE!  However, in my defense it was smaller.

We will be frying another turkey next year, it will be bigger this time.....I just have to figure out how to get the stuffing in it so that I don't have to bake one!!  I have to have my stuffing in the turkey......maybe you could fry it like hush puppies?

critical moment...putting the turkey in the oil!

That is some HOT oil!

pulling the turkey out....happy nothing has exploded!

this is all the "boys" watching the turkey fry! It's definitely a guy thing!

yep, it's beautiful!

Our neighbors joined us this year.

Playing the new game, DICEcapades!

We had a wonderful day!  Hope your Thanksgiving was great!

.............Now on to decorating for Christmas!!!

I knew you'd like the fried! I am so glad your Hubby took his time and was careful! MMMM, hush puppie stuffing! If you can figure it out and put it on a stick our State Fair would go CRAZY for it!
your feast looked delicious

I have never had fried turkey. One of these days, we will have to invest in a fryer. I would LOVE to let my hubby do the turkey cooking some time. :) I am intrigued by Dicecapades. I'll have to look it up. Have a great weekend.

PS Found you through Friday Fill Ins.

Do you use that fryer for anythig else?
hehehe
My husband grilled a turkey once on the Coleman on the back deck. Understand: we live in Minnesota! This was a one-man job. Oh... the dog enjoyed it too.
The fried does sound delicious!
Happy Thanksgiving.
P.S. & btw... I tried the spoon-in-mouth for cuttin' onions. Not bad. Not foolproof. I did cry - but not as much as usual. Maybe I need a bigger spoon!

Fried turkeys are yummy! I have not had one in a few years. Glad your first experiance went well. We had trouble with pulling ours out too early and being a little raw in places. YUCK!!!

As to your comments on my recent posts...

We are planning to move to the city where the girls go to school. We are currently close to Chad's work but a 1/2 an hour from church. Where the girls go to school is right in the middle. So that is where we want to go. It is not far. But we have no dining room at our current house and it is very hard to entertain. So we would really like a new house.

As for making the girls PJ's. I might if it were not for the fact that I am already making them Hannah Montana costumes. I found some glittery fabric and some pleather fabric on sale after Halloween. I have bought them all wigs and must get to my mom's to sew their skirts and tops. We are going to have a very Hannah Christmas! ;)
