hubby: Sara, I need to ask you something....well, I'm going to do it anyway so I guess I just need to tell you something.
me: OK (nothing good starts like that)...what?
hubby: I am frying a turkey for Thanksgiving.
me: Ok, but the menu is already planned and you know that I have to have my dressing inside the turkey, so I will still have to have one in the oven.
hubby: I know, I figured we'd have to have 2 turkeys (ya, in case it doesn't WORK)
me: Do you know what you're doing? Do I need to bring up your finger? (another I-can-do-it-myself story that ended in an emergency room visit)
hubby: I have it all worked out, Ken is helping me and I know what to do
So, there you have it. We.. he... is frying a turkey on Thanksgiving........and yes, 911 is already programed into my speed dial!

We had a fried turkey one year. I don't know what all the fuss is about; it wasn't one bit better than the traditional roasted one. Ah well.

But I'm with you I NEED stuffing. THIS bird needs some plumping! LOL
We've never fried one, but lots of our friends and family have and they say it's the best turkey they've ever tasted.
We'll be waiting for news ....
