Letter's of Intent

Dear Lily,

You stink.
I am sorry if that hurts your feelings but..
...it's true.

It would help if you would quit jumping into the pool.
Your people really are good swimmers and don't need your help...
...they are just having fun.

It would also help if you left the skimmer alone.
It's not hurting the pool but helping it.
However, your trying to grab it as it passes by only helps to cause you to fall in the pool...again.

It would also help if you would not cut corners by the pool as you run out to bark at the other dogs....
cutting corners = falling into the pool

I don't have time to keep bathing your or the money to take you to the groomers every week. However, your "smell" permeates the room you are in.

Lily, please help us out here.

signed,
the owner who loves you but doesn't like to smell you!

I don't know Sara, I'm with Lily those skimmers are creepy, tentacle-like things that make me think a squid is trying to get me!

Wow, Sara - that's so cool you got invited to follow that guy's blog....but, anyway....

It warms my heart to read your stories about Lilly. So fun!

(And, my dog has been on "my list" too as she's taken to crossing over to the "forbidden lawn" (our in-ground wire is no longer preventing he from crossing)...way too many showers lately from rolling in the dirt beds....)

Sounds like you need to put a huge kiddie swimming pool in your back yard and start giving her baths at home! We have to do it to our lab who loves to roll in dirt, especially smelly dirt!

:) That's wonderful, Sara. I LOVE that picture of Lily. It's been a long time since I've had a dog, but know that smell. And it's not an enjoyable one.
Have a beautiful weekend, friend. Enjoy your pool for US! It's getting cold up here!

I came to look over your blog as the result of a gracious comment you left on a blog that I follow. I'm glad I did. I needed to start my day off with a laugh and you provided that well enough.

Ahh...it's a dog's life. Gotta love 'em even when they're wet. Yuck.

I'm your newest follower...hope you'll check my blog out and follow in return. May God bless you richly and often.
